On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you are welcomed by an Escape to Wildlife Safaris representative and transferred to your luxury lodge in Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure, followed by a safari briefing.

You travel north through the Serengeti with rewarding game drives along the way. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration and the dramatic Mara River crossings.
A morning game drive comes first, then you depart the Serengeti and continue through the wildlife-rich plains towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.
After an early breakfast you descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. Home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, the crater offers one of the best chances to see the endangered black rhino alongside lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and countless other species.
After a picnic lunch you continue to the town of Karatu for a relaxing evening.
A leisurely breakfast, then the drive back to Arusha. Depending on your international flight schedule there is time for lunch, some last-minute shopping or a day room, before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
